Whittons Mill, Gainsborough |
|

- Client : Anchor Trust Housing Association
- Budget : £50,000
- The project at Whittons Mill is a rebuilt burnt out mill in regenerated Gainsborough. The architects for the scheme were West and Machell. The building is seven storey and accommodates frail elderly in self contained flats together with a café, lounge, dining room, reception, computer room, gym and a winter garden on the top floor.
- AJA undertook the interior design of the building except the flat interiors. Early ideas were conveyed to the client by way of furniture layouts and mood and sample boards. These showed finishes, contract upgrades, curtains, lighting and internal landscape for the winter garden.
- Project designer Louisa Mackley and her team then ordered the finalised items and spent three days on site fitting out.
