A bungalow in a village south of the river Trent |
- Client : private
- Budget : not disclosed
- The client approached the practice about resolving a quite claustrophobic flat roof hallway and improving the overall 'look' of the dwelling. They were keen for Allan Joyce Architects to prevent them from being 'too' conservative.
- Allan Joyce Architects envisaged the new hall to be an open lofty space with a wing like roof sailing above the existing roofline. A card model was made to give the clients a clearer understanding of the proposal.
- At the same time the client decided to refurbish the existing living room, bathroom, utility and study.
- The project commenced in September 2007 and was completed before Christmas.
