  • The building featured above is an ACF facility set in parkland in Glossop, Derbyshire. It includes a sports training hall. The building is set into a slope and has an accessible turf roof which has guarding to the front, over the stone facade. Stone was a requirement of the planning authority as Glossop is a conservation area. Roller shutters guard the glazing when the building is unoccupied although these are normally tucked away out of site behind the stone bulkhead.

  • Other images show schemes in progress for Keyworth United Football Club and Mansfield Bowls Club.
  • Keyworth United have funding in place and are due to commence construction in 2006. The scheme illustrated shows a pavilion with a grass roof for viewing. The building which will be built will have a conventional roof due to the constraints of cost.
  • The bowls pavilion has received planning permission but will not be going further until funds are in place.
