Specialist conservation work |
- The images illustrate specialist work which AJA have undertaken. £not disclosed.
- The left hand image is of some faience work as cladding to a pub in the centre of Nottingham. The specification was to clean the facade and carry out any repairs to broken areas. The faience work was part of a grant scheme for an overall clean up of the pub and included removal of graffiti and posters.
- The right hand image is of St Mary's lych gate in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. Over a period of time, the lych gate had begun to lean and it was found to be sinking on its foundations. It was taken apart, new foundations were installed and it was then rebuilt by a specialist timber company who labelled all the sections to ensure that it was reconstructed correctly.
