- Following the closure of the existing local daycare facility, Notts CC were keen to locate their new facility adjacent to the new Three Spires development of 40 flats which was to be developed by Anchor Trust on a site on the edge of the town.
- AJA were appointed as architects and interior designers for the project and project architect Mike Harrison and interior designer Louisa Mackley worked closely with director, Tricia Akers to produce an innovative, bright and welcoming building. The daycare unit has a reception, lounge and dining areas, an assisted bathing room and bedrooms for respite care.
- The interior design uses bold colours coordinating fabrics and furnishings with each other and the use of contemporary light fittings creates an interesting, bright environment.
